The Aryan Whore of Deutschland

Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor who is often compared to the conservative British Prime Minister from 1979 to 1990 Margaret Thatcher, has been under scrutiny lately because of her refusal to relax the economic austerity imposed on the European Union. During a depression that has affected most countries in the world, including ours but more severely the European Union, Merkel has chosen the path of financial austerity. We can say that Merkel and her party, the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), are the European version of the Tea Party that keeps demanding reducing or eliminating costs at all cost, pardon the redundancy, and by the results we can say it’s a path that has miserably failed.
One can argue that Merkel might be doing what is best for Germany, after all Germany is not suffering as hard as Spain, Greece or Italy. Merkel has refused to bail Greece or even readjust their loan’s interest rates, leaving Greece in complete chaos and in a state of desperation that will probably cause their secession from the Union following Iceland’s path since there is no way for them to pay what they owe. Spain will soon follow, the unemployment rate in Spain is almost 25% and if things were bad before, with this austerity the Iberian Peninsula is not likely to improve their chances of succeeding. It is easy for Merkel to demand austerity; Germany’s unemployment rate is not among the highest in the European Union. Following is the latest unemployment rates by country, from the highest to the lowest rate:
Spain
24.44
Greece
21.7
Portugal
14.9
Ireland
14.3
Slovakia
13.7
Slovenia
12.4
Estonia
11.5
Italy
9.8
France
9.8
Finland
8.5
Germany
7.4
Belgium
7.2
Luxembourg
6.0
Netherlands
5.9
Austria
4.3

As we can see above, Germany is not suffering as hard as the other countries in the European Union but Merkel’s refusal to assist or restructure the debts of these countries is taking these countries in a downward spiral from which they might not recover, at least not any time soon. Perhaps these countries should declare themselves bankrupted after all, their working force is diminishing by the day, their debts continue to increase, their credit ratings are dropping and no money is fluctuating to revitalize the economy. It is not difficult to realize that unless something it’s done to stimulate the economy of these countries (Estonia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Ireland, Portugal, Greece and Spain) their only alternative will be to seceded from the Union and declare financial bankruptcy.

This austerity plan is the one that the GOP and Teapers advocate for in this country, and that so many of our citizens applaud... Is anyone in this country paying attention to what is happening in Europe?  Has anyone here noticed the fiasco this austerity plan is?

The GOP has been screwing up America for the last decade and if they get elected this coming elections we might face the same scenario we are seeing in Europe where Angela Merkel might not be hurting Germany too bad, but she surely is fucking Europe and unless stopped, the World.

  1. Sorry but this article wreaks of spoiled brat. 'It's mom and dad's fault for not bailing me out of prison every time I'm arrested' kind of take. Here's an idea: Could be that the ridiculous social spending and incessant bailouts and needs for bailouts is what's behind these poor economies. Why is it that the leftist answer to economy is always spending more and printing worthless currency after worthless currency? Get off of Germany for awhile and turn your ire towards the countries who've handled their finances like drunken teenagers for decades.

  2. You're just ignorant, I assume.Read a history book, read what economists the world around are saying. Every euro Greece has borrowed has returned to Germany, France and The US with high interest. We have payed over and over again. Germany is a greedy vampire which never, ever stops drinking human blood. The only consolation for the tragedy we have been feeling for decades now, is that Germany has the real enemy inside its bountiful bossom. There will be a time in the near future when the German Nazis are going to meet their creator in the face of the immigrant Turk. Then they'll see who's a better company. One who cherishes human life or one who destroys it? The only nation which can actually "deal" with Germany is Turkey. The Greeks are way too civilized for the both of them. Again read a history book, listen to what famous econimists are saying and don't sound so ignorant.

  3. I'm staying out of this debate. Two anonymous and both saying opposite things. I stick to my guns and I stand by what I wrote. I suspect if I get involved, I might be dealing with Romney in disguise. lol

  4. I am the anonynous - the second one, NOT the first and I replied to the fisrt answer below the article. I agree with the person who wrote the article wholeheartedly and since I come from one of these countries that merkel "is screwing" and since I am an educated citizen, and since life in my country is slowly , but steadily, becoming "unlivable", I believe I am entitled and I am forced by these conditions to speak my mind. I had heard , of course of the tea party but up until I read your article , I hadn't made the connection. I can honestly tell you that the people in my country -at least- are not going to be able to tolerate this situation for long. There is nothing on the news anymore except cuts, cuts, cuts, soon there will be nothing left to cut, but our wrists or our necks. It is doubtful if the politicians will be able to save the country- or the periphery in Europe- but it is certain that they will drive the people to either social unrest or suicide . And all this, the whole of Europe is on the brink of disaster because of one counrty, the same one that has already destroyed this continent twice in the past. And all the others are just standing there " listening" and " obeying" its orders. How " crazy " is that? The people in the south of Europe are not stupid, we understand now how the north of Europe is using and abusing us. And we won't stand for it.

  5. I agree with both your comments Anonymous#2. It is unfortunate that the right wing in the US (Anonymous#1), which usually has no idea of what transpires in the world and has no clue about world history because they are firm believers that the universe rotates around them and therefore they think its unnecessary, has the audacity to assume that "bailouts" is what crashed the economy for the European Nations. I also find it very suspicious that those economies that were inticed by Germany to join the European Union are the ones bankrupted while Germany is cool as a cucumber. The new Germany accomplished what Hitler wanted, unify Europe, control the economy and be the leader of the Union but this time they used the lure of a better economy showing theirs as a model. The huge and unmistaken error those countries that entered the EU did was to renounce to their currency, which made them 100% dependent of Germany and its funding with high interests rates. I keep saying, the only way out is sending Germany to hell, default on the debts, reinstate your currency and re-build your credit. At this point it's fucked up anyway, at least you will be starting from scratch and independent from the Germany.
